Our Cabo Christmas

We had a wonderful time with our families in Cabo. It was a different kind of Christmas, in 80 degree weather, laying out on the beach and by the pools and drinking margaritas, but I'm definitely not complaining (I'm just trying to make you all jealous)!!! It was great and so fun for us all to be together!


Talan loved the kid's pool, it was perfect for him. He also loved playing with his cousin Paige and new friends Alisa and Jack.

Ready for Christmas in Cabo

I know I haven't posted in forever, we have been busy, but nothing too exciting. Jeff had pneumonia and was very sick for a few weeks, my poor baby. Luckily he is feeling better now, just in time for Cabo!!!! We leave on Saturday and we'll be there for a week with the whole family. Can't wait, it will be so much fun. I'll post lots of pictures from our trip.

Our Trip to Nor Cal

We went up to Yuba City last weekend for Nana Jackie's Birthday. We had such a great time visiting with family and friends. I wish we could have stayed longer, the trip went by so fast.
This was Talan's first airplane ride and he was so good. I don't think we will ever do that awful 8 hour drive again!
Of course I hardly took any pictures, I really need to work on that! So, here's the few that I did take:

Halloween

Just a few pictures from Halloween at the pumpkin patch in San Juan, and trick or treating. The yummy sucker was the best part!

And the winner is...

We went to the YMCA's Fall Festival today, and Talan was in the costume contest. There were probably about 70-80 kids entered in the contest and our cute little golfer won first place! Everyone loved his costume and thought he was the cutest thing ever, and well, we have to agree. Way to go Talan!

First Hair Cut

Little Talan's hair was getting very long; hanging in his eyes, over his ears and long curlies in the back. So... it was time for the monumental first hair cut.

As you can tell he did not like this whole thing, but his hair looks so cute now. He doesn't look like a baby anymore, he's such a big boy with his short spiked do. And as much as I loved the curls, they were getting a little long and straggly. Hopefully now people won't think he's a girl!

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to a great pumpkin patch on Sunday. It was a huge farm with so much to do, there was a petting zoo, tractor rides, games, a corn maze, and thousands of pumpkins to choose from. And who would have thought... it's in Irvine!?!?

As soon as Talan saw the animals in the petting zoo he started saying baa-baa to the sheep and goats. He liked the animals as long as we were right there with him.

We are going to Cabo for Christmas this year, and had to get a passport for Talan... So this is the picture in his passport. When the lady took the picture, Talan had the tightest grip on Jeff and he would NOT smile (such a serious boy!) We thought it was so funny, and definitely a keeper.

Walking

Talan officially started walking a little over a week ago, and he is already very speedy; and of course getting into EVERYTHING!!!!! It's so cute to watch him walk, he is so proud of himself. I'm glad he was kind of a late walker because I got to hold him and cuddle him more, now he just wants to go, go, go!

Ready to Surf?!?!?

Talan has taken a big interest in Jeff's surfboards lately. He wants to see them, touch them, climb on them; and today he got to help daddy wax his surfboard. So cute to watch him act just like his dad.

Talan's Birthday Weekend

We had a very fun weekend celebrating Talan's first birthday. We had a little family swim party at my grama's house on Saturday. Talan loved diving in to his yummy homemade birthday cake, so cute! Then on Sunday, Jeff surprised us by taking us to the Angels / Yankees game. It was Talan's first baseball game, and he had such a great time. He got an Angels hat that is just his size, and he even got a signed baseball. Talan is still talking about his exciting weekend, he keeps saying "birthday, birthday, birthday" at least thats what it sounds like to us! :)

One on 8-8-08

Today is Talan's first birthday, Crazy how fast time flies! We are having a little birthday party for him tomorrow, at my Grama's house in Redlands. I will take lots of pictures of him eating his birthday cake and post those soon. Don't you just love his birthday mohawk, he got lots of compliments, thanks for stylin' it Dad!
