 Talan asked Santa for a candy cane for Christmas...again! Boy is this kid easy to please.

Jeff's baseball debut:

 Jeff is playing on a men's baseball league and he's definitely still got it! He's pitching, playing 3rd base and short stop. Talan and I love watching him play every week.

 Ouch!!! nothin' like getting hit in the head with a baseball.

There just happened to be some firefighters (working out) at one of Jeff's baseball games and they let Talan check out the truck and put on all the gear :)

Ringbearer for Hire!

This post is long overdue... Talan was a little ring bearer in 2 weddings this summer. He did such an amazing job in both weddings, walking down the aisle and taking pictures. We bought his tux because it was so much cheaper than renting one. And he LOVED dancing at the receptions, we couldn't get him off the dance floor! So if you or someone you know are looking for an adorable little ring bearer, Talan is available (you may need to promise him a surprise for completing his ring bearer duties perfectly;-)

Talan's 3rd Birthday

Hard to believe our little boy is 3 already!!! Talan had a super fun dinosaur birthday party along with his friend Gavin, complete with a bounce house, lots of great presents and wonderful friends and family:) Thanks to everyone who made Talan's birthday so memorable!

Summer Fun

We have had a busy and fun summer so far! Our 10 year old niece Paige flew down all by herself and stayed with us for 3 weeks. Talan loved having his cousin around, and I loved having a big helper. We have been going to swim lessons, the pool, the beach, the park, and seaworld. Fun, fun, fun!

so funny...but so mean

So the story behind this... I had silkworms in my classroom and I had to bring them home over the weekend to feed them (they eat mulberry leaves nonstop until they spin their silk cocoons) plus I knew Talan would love them- and he did love them, that is until his super mean parents played a trick on him. But just so you don't think were too mean, Talan watches this video now and thinks it's hilarious, so don't judge us!

Happy Easter! We had a wonderful and relaxing Easter with the Cato Family at their beach house. Talan had a great time playing with cousin Paige and being spoiled by Nana.

A few firsts..

Oh I haven't blogged in forever, I am very impressed with people who post updates and pictures everyday, but that definitely isn't me, sorry!

Anyway we have been very busy around here... Talan started preschool last month and is doing so great, he likes it a lot (but he liked being home with mom too)! He has already been sick a couple of times, including his very first ear infection, poor baby. Talan also just started going potty on the "big potty" it's few and far between, but it's a start, and although we aren't pressuring him at all, the m&m bribery and the fun potty song and dance really helps:)

I FINALLY got a teaching job down here, yay!!!!! I love being back in the classroom again, even though I loved being home with Talan, if I have to bring home a paycheck there is nothing else I'd rather do than teach.
